Panos Pagonis is the father of Cynthia & Ionas, an AdNerd, and Group Creative Director (Art) at McCann Worldgroup.
In 2025, Panos was named Creative Director of the Year at the Golden Drum Festival, where he also won 4 Grand Prix and 1 Grand Prix at Eurobest, a milestone for the Greek advertising industry.
He has won more than 80 awards at major international festivals including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, One Show, LIA Awards, Webby Awards, Dubai Lynx, Golden Drum, and more. In addition, he has received over 90 national awards, including multiple Grand Ermis, Campaign of the Year, Creative Bravery Award, and 2 Grand Effies.
In 2023, he ranked #2 Associate Creative Director in the MEA region by The One Show. Panos has also won the first-ever Gold Cannes Lion (a Glass Lion), the first Gold LIA Award and the first-ever D&AD Pencil (Graphite) for the Greek market.
He has served as a jury member for national and international festivals such as Ad Stars (x2, Asia), PHNX Awards (x3), and Cannes Young Lions.
In 2022, he was selected by LIA Awards as a Creative LIAison Mentee. In 2021, Creativepool named him “Emerging Talent of the Year” and listed him among the “10 Best Art Directors in the World”, while in 2022 he was recognized again as “Next Gen Talent of the Year”.
His work has been featured up to 12 times in Lürzer’s Archive, including Ad of the Week,and selected as Editor’s Pick on leading industry platforms such as ADWEEK, Ad Age, Shots, The Drum, Muse by Clio, LBBO, Campaign, Taxi, and more.
